From praying for rain to evacuation of Tehran; Solving the water crisis requires action! / If Tehran must be evacuated, the Minister of Energy must also be dismissed

 The water crisis in Iran has reached a stage where the president is talking about the possibility of "evacuating Tehran", but experts consider these statements to be a sign of the government's managerial weakness and inaction. In the past years, many caring experts and specialists, some of whom are no longer alive or are sitting in seclusion, have repeatedly warned of the country's critical situation in the water sector and proposed practical solutions, such as rebuilding the worn-out water network and modifying the cultivation pattern, to prevent it from reaching the current situation.  However, according to the observers, the officials could have prevented the crisis by implementing these proposals, but they left the situation to the point where today the work will either reach the point where they will either reach the sky or, according to the president's recent statement, if the rain does not continue, water will be rationed and if the drought continues, Tehran will be evacuated.  Critics believe that instead of taking practical action, the officials are still satisfied with stating the problems;  It is as if the place of reporters, journalists and people have been replaced by the officials and it is the people who should provide solutions to solve the crisis.  According to analysts, this situation is seen not only in the country's water issue, but in all areas, and the government is in a situation where it has reached "absolute inaction" and practically does not take any effective action.

According to Urei, only 6% of renewable water sources are used for drinking water and Tehran's water network is severely worn out and about 22% of water is wasted in the transmission route.  While they ask people to save 10-20%, the water supply network is still left without reconstruction and they say we don't have the budget.  This shows that the problem is not the lack of budget, but the lack of priority in the allocation of resources.
In the ranks of the country's budget, there are organizations, institutions and non-governmental institutions that have been given a higher priority than Tehran's water supply, and this is a sign of a strategic mistake in resource management.  Therefore, the authorities should not say that they do not have funds for the reconstruction of Tehran's water network, rather it should be said that the water problem is not a priority.
