ایران در آستانه بحران آبی؛ سدهای تهران فقط 12 درصد آب دارند و 57 درصد ظرفیت سدهای کشور خالی!

The country's water reserves have reached the lowest level in recent decades and key dams have less than 20 % storage.

Somayeh Baghi, Rakna Reporter: The country's water reserves have reached the lowest level in recent decades and key dams have less than 20 % storage.  The state of water resources in the country is worrying, and there are signs of warning of a low -history crisis in contemporary Iranian history.  While we approach the mid -summer of 1404, the amount of water storage in the four dams supplier of Tehran has reached only 12 %;  Much lower than the average of 60 to 70 percent in normal years.

Investigating the overall status of the country's large dams also shows a similar situation.  19 important dams that provide a significant portion of drinking water, agriculture and industry, now have less than 20 % capacity.

The overwhelming harvesting of water from the agricultural streams upstream of the Dams of Latian and Karaj (about 3 to 3.5 million cubic meters per year) has also fueled the crisis.

It is essential to overcome the crisis, manage consumption, recycling water, modify the agricultural pattern, and the use of modern technologies.
