Esmail Kahram, a prominent Iranian environmental activist and ecologist, criticized the performance of the Environmental Protection Organization

Esmail Kahram, an environmental activist and prominent Iranian ecologist, in a sharp criticism of the performance of the Environmental Protection Organization, said:

If only half of the illegal wells in the country are closed, many environmental problems will be solved;  But this work has fallen on the shoulders of the lifeguards, more than 300 of them have lost vital organs such as eyes and feet while doing their duty, and the same number have also lost their lives.

He emphasized that despite these difficult conditions, the rangers are expected to deal with the offenders with the minimum facilities;  While the funds that can improve the condition of these people are spent on other things.

Referring to the request of 50 billion Tomans for a foreign trip by the head of the Environmental Protection Organization, Kahram expressed his surprise and said: I am really surprised when I hear that the head of the organization requests such an amount for a trip to South Africa or the Amazon.  This money can alleviate some of the problems of environmentalists who have given their lives or limbs to protect the environment, but instead it is spent on first-class hotels and foreign trips.
