At 5:50 PM on June 13, wildlife ranger Heidatollah Didaban, who was serving in the protected area of Khayiz, was dispatched to the Khayiz protected area in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province following a report about the presence of illegal hunters in the protected area.
A ranger was martyred after being hit directly by a bullet in the left side of his head while inside an organizational vehicle on the asphalt road from Behbahan to the Marun Dam at the location of Tang-e Bostank. The offenders have fled, and law enforcement is diligently pursuing the incident.
