Assault on a sick girl in a hospital in Tehran during the Corona period

Homayoun Sameh Najafabadi, Member of the Parliament's Health and Treatment Commission:

I have another bitter experience about one of the patients, which I will not name because the results of the follow-up were satisfactory. During the Corona period, a young girl with a very severe Corona virus and is at risk of death is admitted to a hospital in Tehran, but in the end, she is transferred to another hospital in Tehran and thanks to God, she recovers, but this young girl complains about sexual assault in the first hospital she was hospitalized after recovering. She had stated that while she was hospitalized, one of the hospital staff had sexually assaulted her to the point of touching her.

We followed up on the matter through the head and security of the hospital and they fired that person, and it was not as if they were defending the offender, but they said that he had a history and that this was the second complaint that was filed against him. The head of the hospital accepted this very logically. He also conducted an investigation and fired that person, and now he is not working anywhere else. In my opinion, the type of treatment in such cases should be more severe, that is, the person must be prosecuted.
