Mohammad Javad Zarif, former Foreign Minister of Iran, in remarks at the Arms Control Association meeting in Washington, which was held online from Tehran, rejected the assumptions that say more pressure will force Iran to surrender, stating: “In my view, the missing link in these narratives is Iran’s dignity.”

He said: “The leaders and a large portion of the Iranian people view the nuclear issue through the lens of dignity, historical pride, and national resilience, not with cold calculations of nuclear capability or economic cost.”

The former Foreign Minister, mocking Trump’s recent claims about Iran that “the world’s biggest sponsor of terrorism should not even be allowed to have nuclear weapons,” stressed: “Israel, as the most dangerous state terrorist in the world, is already armed with nuclear weapons.”
