The Untold Stories of the Danger of Bombing Centers in Khatami's Government

The situation in the country is in a sensitive situation, especially after the executive note of Trump's maximum pressure and the words of the Supreme Leader of the revolution regarding the rejection of negotiations with the United States, and Trump's letter to Iran, the political elite feel the near danger. In these circumstances, I was preparing the memoirs of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani in the years 82 and 83, so I saw the occasion, by reviewing a similar experience between Iran and the West twenty years ago, to present the unspoken words of that successful performance of the regime in removing threats from the country, which could be the way to overcome the current situation.

Of course, naturally, the memoirs of 1382 and 83 of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani will be published next year, but I will mention in this article The dangerousness of the cut conditions of these memoirs.

In these circumstances, the opponents of the regime, who accused the Islamic Republic of dictatorship and tyranny, expected that due to the opposition of the leaders of the revolution to suspend enrichment, the path of diplomacy would be deadlocked and the bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities would occur by referring the case to the Security Council, but the populism of the Islamic Republic system and the prevailing rationality, realism and intelligence in expert meetings led the leaders of the revolution to agree to the request of the authorities to suspend the temporary enrichment, despite personal opposition, and Iran would not be able to danger that year away. Mr. Khatami's afternoon has come. Mr. Rouhani, Mr. Kharazi and Mr. Khatami called for a temporary holiday. Rouhani was offered to travel to Europe for talks. But I think that someone will come from there and negotiate in Iran.

Dr. Rouhani came to the night. He said that ElBaradei had recently made an implicit threat, and the Europeans had not yet agreed to send someone to negotiate, and China and Russia said: "fully implement the resolution or the risk of going to the Security Council is not good". And the government delegation is afraid, it has increased the pressure on Mr. Khatami to accept, and the parliamentarians have prepared a letter with more than a few signatures that asked Mr. Khatami to accept, and the leadership has come forward and accepted to temporarily stop enrichment.

The visit of the three foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, Germany and France to Iran for nuclear issues and their negotiations and the final statement of the negotiations have the most domestic and global reflection and have shone all the news. In exchange for their acceptance to confirm the peaceful benefits of nuclear technology, Iran has accepted to sign the annexation protocol and clarify its plans and temporarily stop enrichment.

3 August 82   
At noon, the board of directors met in my office. They were also upset about the way the protocol was decided and the enrichment was stopped, believing that the system was broken, especially as contrary to the statements of the leadership in recent months, and wondered how the leadership had returned from their words.I said, "they're being pushed from all sides". They said, "of course, they're going to the Security Council and they're going to pass sanctions against Iran".

The prince came. He said that Mr. Khatami had given Mr. Rouhani the responsibility for political and technical nuclear affairs and had practically no role in the negotiations, the organization had written to the leadership and opposed the postponement of gas supply and injection and the suspension of work, and the leadership had responded: they had only agreed to delay the injection of uranium gas and told them not to stop anything else, but Mr. Rouhani wanted more than that.

11 August 82
We participated in the leadership breakfast program in the afternoon. The managers and officials were gathered.Mr. Khatami and the leadership spoke.

And the leadership said, "it's been done right so far, but we have agreed to thwart the US-Israeli conspiracy to unravel the nuclear weapons program that was trying to build a consensus against Iran, so that everything is transparent, but we are determined to produce a fuel cycle and we will not be short". Mr. Khatami said, "We will stop producing fuel, and these two statements have become incompatible".

28 to 82.
I was a guest at the leadership tonight. We also discussed nuclear issues. They are determined not to give up on the fuel cycle and resist, even if it comes to a collision.

5 May 83
I was a guest at the leadership tonight. They asked me to agree to the proposal to cancel the suspension decision at tomorrow's advisory meeting on nuclear issues. I said, "it's better not to rush and give Dr. Rouhani and the government another opportunity to convince the agency and Europe that we are transparent and within the agency's regulations and prevent the west from reacting too hard".

6 May 83   
The evening in the leadership office was a consultation meeting to take action in the event that our case at the agency was not terminated in June when we were supposed to postpone the decision until after June. The leadership thought that if the case did not end, we would cancel the suspension, but the majority of the meeting did not agree with the explanations given by Dr. Rouhani and the Prince.

Mr. Mairi came in the afternoon and said: "Austrian authorities have officially informed that Israel is planning to attack Iran's nuclear facilities".

20 spring of ' 83 
I was a guest of leadership tonight. We negotiated nuclear issues. The decision was to start enrichment and the possibility of an Israeli attack was taken seriously

January 17, 1983 
I was a guest of leadership tonight .They are dissatisfied with the decision of the consultation on the temporary suspension of nuclear Assembly and parts. But I said, "it's a good decision and somewhere".

They finally concluded that the parts and assembly and commissioning of the U.C.But they don't start the gas until the next meeting of the agency. Because Dr. Rouhani believes that if the gas doesn't start, there's an understanding. And the leadership called nuclear technology a red line.

4 August 83 
We had a meeting with the deputies at the Strategic Research Center in the afternoon. Dr. Rouhani explained the recent negotiations with the Europeans to prevent the case from going to the Security Council in exchange for the suspension of the unknown enrichment time. Ensure Iran's security and cooperate in the construction of nuclear power plants and fuel supply. To help Iran be accepted into the World Trade Organization and develop technical and industrial cooperation. To help with the problem of civilian aircraft and to help enrich Iran's nuclear weapons after gaining trust and practical guarantees. And he said, "the committee's opinion is to accept the proposal". I said, "they had already offered to trust the peaceful nature of Iran's work, they would partner in enrichment, or the Isfahan product would go to France for enrichment and go back to Iran".

11 August 83  
The afternoon at the leadership office was a consultation on nuclear issues. It was finally accepted that we would accept the suspension on the condition that the Iranian case be closed at the agency and the US prevent it from being taken to the Security Council and Iran's final acceptance of fuel production and the possibility of doing side-work outside of enrichment during negotiations with Europe that did not last more than six months. Ayatollah Khamenei opposed the suspension, but because others agreed, they accepted.

25 August 83 
The Iran-Europe statement was published simultaneously on the nuclear agreements, and Dr. Rouhani had good justifications in an interview, and ElBaradei, in a report to the agency, while calling Iran's past secrecy a violation, expressed satisfaction with Iran's effective cooperation and said: "the Iranian case will be pursued normally from now on". That was one of the terms of our deal with Europe.

 27 August 83  
An Israeli military official has threatened that if the agency does not stop Iran's nuclear program, Israel will use military power.

9th of March, ' 83.
Finally, after much negotiation of the European resolution, with the reforms of Iran, it was approved by consensus in the Governing Council of the nuclear agency, and Dr. Rouhani thanked me for opening the knot several times.
