 From a purely legal standpoint, I stated that this is completely contrary to even the slightest practice of the Criminal Procedure Code, even if we reduce all mandatory legal deadlines to a single day!!!

Unfortunately, claims by Rouhani and others of this nature, that anyone with the slightest familiarity with the judicial structure of the Islamic Republic would know, cannot be realistic.

Especially since the presence of a court-appointed lawyer, if not provided, is mandatory for a defendant facing capital punishment and life imprisonment as a substitute.
