Thirteen years ago, "Parviz Sabeti," Director General of the Third Department (Domestic Security) of SAVAK, rejected allegations regarding "Ali Shariati's" coordination and cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Organization of the country for speaking engagements at the "Hosseinieh Irshad" in his memoirs.

One of the documents preserved in the archives of the Islamic Revolution Document Center pertains to the directives from the Third Department of SAVAK, headed by "Sabati," to the Intelligence and Security Organization regarding the prevention of "Shariati's" speeches, monitoring him, and controlling the publications of "Hosseinieh Irshad" due to "his speeches against the interests of the country and the dissemination of anti-regime books."

Four days after this report, another correspondence took place, which two months later (February 23, 1973) led to a letter from the head of SAVAK to the National Police regarding the collection of certain works by "Dr. Shariati."

The results of SAVAK's documents and reports not only do not support "Dr. Nasr's" claims regarding "Shariati's" cooperation with SAVAK, but they also classify his works and speeches as "provocative," prompting efforts to collect and shut them down.
