ShirAliNia's warning about the ground threat and the balkanization of Iran

Defense analyst Jafar Shiralinia, referring to the historical experience of the downfall of the FAW in the Iran-Iraq War, warned that focusing solely on air and missile combat may leave Iran vulnerable to ground threats and sabotage operations. According to him, the experience of 2018 showed that even what seems obvious can be part of the enemy's design for deception.

Shiralinia recalled that Iranian commanders were caught off guard in the last war by relying on superficial information and ignoring the possibility of deception. He emphasized that in the current situation, some foreign and media movements may also be designed to deceive and divide Iran, and that the country should not be satisfied with its missile power and air defense alone.

Referring to the so-called "Balkanization of Iran," the defense analyst said, "The main concern should not be just the sky; the real danger could come from the ground and the social fabric of the country." He emphasized the need for national empathy and widespread public participation in major decision-making, and suggested that holding a referendum or creating diverse platforms in the Iranian Broadcasting System could establish the true voice of the people and thwart the enemy's designs.

Shiralinia added: "Let's not forget that the Zionists consider a great and unified Iran, with any government, a threat to themselves. Protecting dear Iran is worth going through many things."

This analysis provides a backdrop for concerns about the multi-layered threats to Iran and suggests that the country's defense preparedness must go beyond a focus on air combat and also include safeguarding the land, infrastructure, and social cohesion.
