Zahra Behrouz Azar, Vice President:
As soon as the 14th government was formed, it put a series of bills that had previously been sent to the parliament back on the agenda. One of these bills, because of its importance, was the bill on "Preserving the Dignity and Protection of Women from Violence."
A lot of negotiations were held so that this bill would be put on the agenda sooner. This bill was a judicial bill and we expected that it would be reviewed by the Legal and Judicial Commission as usual, but we heard that it had been referred to the Social Commission.
