What does the government want with all these media and information institutions?

Some time ago, Mr. Pezeshkian said at a ceremony: The Presidential Administration has 4,000 staff members; if this number is reduced to 400, work would proceed more efficiently.

It can be said with certainty that all the work done by the hundreds of staff working in multiple floors of the Presidential Administration for the purpose of media communication can be accomplished by a private news website at a very minimal cost.

In other words, if this high-profile organization were handed over to a team of at most 20 people, the results would definitely be better. I say this based on my approximately 40 years of experience.

Although I know that even a few lines like this will face strong complaints from friends, allow me, for the sake of completing the complaints, to also add that the criticism applies to some government media, including the IRNA news agency, ISNA, and the Iran newspaper.

A large organization that really does not have high efficiency. Other governmental institutions and organizations also have multiple, very costly media outlets, which I will pass over since they are not directly related to the government, although their enormous budgets come out of the public’s pocket.
