Bahonar: The structural problems of the system can be reformed through a referendum / The existence of two chambers creates more balance and efficiency in the legislative process.

 Mohammad Reza Bahonar, the Secretary General of the Front of Followers of Imam and Leadership, told the Iran newspaper: "Safeguarding the achievements of the revolution is not possible without reforms and a review of the structures and policies. If we are witnessing a reduction in participation today, part of it is due to structural, cultural, economic, and political problems that require reform and reconstruction. The structure of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, which is formed based on regional electoral districts, while its decisions have a national nature, has led to problems in the true representation of the people."
