About the doctors' trip to Qom

Last Thursday's one-day visit by Masood Mezhekian to Qom was his first as president. He met with the authorities during this trip, but in the meantime he did not meet members of the Association of Researchers and Teachers, as well as Ayatollah Bayat Zanjani. He also met with the Imam of Friday and the guardian of the shrine of Hazrat Masouma (peace be upon him), Muhammad Saeedi from the defenders of Saeed Jalili. 

In the days of presidential propaganda, doctors among the clerics and authorities of Qom had no public support except Ayatollah Bayat Zanjani, the Assembly of Researchers and Teachers, the House of Ayatollah Montazeri and the reformist clerics. His presence at the shrine of God was reflected. With this description, his failure to meet with his defenders has been analyzed and criticized. 

(I remember that Hassan Rouhani also flew to Isfahan during the propaganda days of his first choice to participate in the funeral of Ayatollah Taheri, Imam Juma of Isfahan. Ayatollah Sanei also supported him in Qom. But after being elected, he did not come to meet Ayatollah Sanei during his trip to Qom and did not attend Mr. Taheri's tomb during his trip to Isfahan.) 

Some see the doctors' movement as outside the federation on which the government is based. In addition, not meeting with the assembly of researchers and teachers-especially in these days when it is threatened by the judiciary and the stability forces and the students of Mr. Mesbah and the community of teachers in the field and street are trying to deal with this reformist organization and seminary intellectuals-have been interpreted in the sense that power is so sterile that it makes the personality of people undergo transformation and oblivion. 

But in response to such an analysis, some believe that critics seem to be inattentive to the power relations and politics in Iran. Despite the choices made in Iran and opinion polls, participating and not participating in the elections; Power in Iran is in the hands of a minority of businessmen who are always moving from one post to another, and if they are not given the chosen post, there is a place reserved for them among the posts of affiliation/appointment. In addition, this minority still has a loud voice, whether in radio and television and the official newspaper of the regime, Kayhan, or some tribunals such as Imaman Juma, some seminary institutions, which, of course, enjoy immunity with strong support and backing. 

If the doctors have not undergone a change of personality due to power, his failure to meet with organizations and scholars that are not in line with stability and extremists is for the sake of observing the public interest of the society and for the reason that the noisy minority does not ruin the wheels of the government, critics should put their eyes on each other and shine him with sacrifice and lack of flock.
