Hadi Khaniki, Professor of Communications at Allameh Tabataba'i University, in an interview with Khabar Online:

One of the issues that stands out significantly is the issue of unblocking/lifting the filtering. This is one of the important issues that was among Mr. Pezeshkian's promises in the elections, and he, and even his government, tried but failed to implement it.

I believe this very issue has contributed to the communication disruption. My main discussion in analyzing issues and reducing social capital, from my professional perspective, is primarily about the communication disruption.

By communication disruption, I do not mean that we do not have economic disruption, political and legal imbalances, or foreign policy imbalances. We have all of those.

But a gap-creating discord has been superimposed on top of that, and that is communication imbalance or disruption. To the extent that the voice of the government is not heard in society, and the voice of society is not heard in the government either.
