The Islamic Republic has firmly resolved to criminalize the acts specified in this law.

Therefore, a law passed by the Parliament can never be taken lightly, because an important part of this law that may affect the general public and involve a large segment of society are Articles 4 and 5.

These two articles explicitly state:

Article 4 – Any act or cooperation in carrying out political, cultural, media, or propaganda activities that create or reflect artificial damage, or in preparing or publishing false news or any content that generally causes public fear or is against national security, shall, if not subject to the punishment for “corruption on earth,” be sentenced by the court to third-degree imprisonment and permanent dismissal from government and public service.
Furthermore, sending films, images, or information to foreign networks, media personalities, or online platforms that act against national security, and also sending such materials to hostile networks, media personalities, or pages, shall, if not subject to a more severe punishment, depending on the type of information, images, or films, be punishable by fifth-degree imprisonment and permanent dismissal from government and public service.
Illegal demonstrations and gatherings during wartime are punishable by fourth-degree imprisonment.

Note – The Ministry of Intelligence is required, within one month from the date of enforcement of this law, to identify and publicly announce the examples of hostile networks, media personalities, and online pages, and to update the list at least every six months.

Therefore, according to the note under Article 4 of this law, one must wait for the Ministry of Intelligence to announce, within one month after the law becomes enforceable, the specific examples of hostile entities and to update them regularly.
