In 1968, he was the editor of the arts section of the Kayhan newspaper. Golsorkhi was among the intellectuals of that time who supported guerrilla movements.Golsorkhi, along with a group of others, was arrested in 1972 on charges of plotting to assassinate the Crown Prince.
