(Born January 22, 1944, in Rasht – Died February 18, 1974, in Tehran) was a poet, journalist, and Marxist writer. In 1968, he was the editor of the arts section of the Kayhan newspaper. Golsorkhi was among the intellectuals of that time who supported guerrilla movements.
Golsorkhi, along with a group of others, was arrested in 1972 on charges of plotting to assassinate the Crown Prince. In a court trial that was broadcast live, he defended his Marxist and revolutionary beliefs. By court order, he and Karamatollah Daneshian were executed.
