Leila Bolukat, an actress in cinema, theater, and television, was sentenced last year to ten months in prison in Semnan, a two-year ban on social media activities, a month of summarizing a book, a travel ban, and a two-year prohibition from working due to charges of "unveiling and offending public morals and chastity by posting images online while unveiling and removing her legal and religious attire in violation of religious and national norms and values."
Over the past year, Bolukat has faced many of the issued sentences and was prohibited from working in her profession and on social media. In her latest court appearance, she was acquitted of all charges and can now resume her artistic and social activities as before.
