The latest news is that, as I had previously warned members of the media and dear colleagues regarding attempts by elements of this group to establish contact, Judge Amin Toyserkani, head of Branch 1035 of the Tehran Criminal Court 2, has issued a ruling.

One of the foreign-based journalists, who had tweeted and produced content against the reporter and the initial complainant of this group—by accepting the statements and claims of Mohammad Eskandarinia (known as Abu Diyar al-Khozi, residing in Australia)—was investigated extensively by the prosecutor and the court. Consequently, the journalist and Eskandarinia were "jointly" sentenced to a fine and the removal of the published materials from cyberspace.

It is worth noting that Mohammad Eskandarinia is the son of Sardar Sheikh Hassan Eskandarinia, the Chairman of the Board of the Zavieh Financial Group, and the brother of Mohsen Eskandarinia, the group's imprisoned CEO.

The issued verdict is a preliminary ruling; it was issued in absentia regarding the journalist and is subject to objection (vakhvahi), while for Mohammad Eskandarinia—due to the presence of his lawyer and the holding of a public trial—it is subject to appeal in the Tehran Court of Appeals.
