I was at home all day. The Supreme Defense Council was scheduled to hold a meeting; since it was not necessary, we canceled it. Some reports had been collected; I read them. Usually, all the organizations send me a report; for example, the [Islamic Revolutionary] Guards, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the [Islamic Revolution] Committees, the Ministry of Interior, the [Ministry of] Commerce, the [Ministry of] Agriculture, the Army, and so on. They are worth reading, too. It takes a lot of time; all in all, half of my time is spent reading and dealing with the peripheral matters of this kind.
At night, I listened to [Taher] Ahmadzadeh's interview; it is interesting, these kinds of interviews show the immense power of the Revolution. The Prime Minister's Office reported that today about forty ships had entered or left the port of Mahshahr. Iraqi aircraft attacked in Khormusa, and two tugboats sustained minor damage. Usually, when convoys of ships enter or leave, the Iraqis attack them in Khormusa with missiles or aircraft. We also protect the convoys with the Air Force and anti-aircraft missiles.
