After the recess, when the questions were being raised, I went to my office and rested. At noon, Mr. Shabestari came and brought a complaint from the IRIB housing cooperative, which is encroaching on the adjacent lands that have been allocated by the Ministry of Housing to cooperatives of other organizations.

Mr. Sajjadi, who had returned from Germany, came and spoke about the needs of students and Iranians living in Europe, the problems of some of them, and Muslim Turks living in Germany. Mashhadi Eidi Araki came and had some matters to attend to.

In the afternoon, I met with members of the Council for Educational Affairs. They complained about Mr. [Ali Akbar] Parvaresh [Minister of Education] for weakening educational affairs, and [Mrs. Ateqeh Seddiqi], Martyr Rajaei's wife, also had more criticisms in this regard.

I attended a meeting of the Hezbollah representatives. I spoke about the danger of divisions among the forces of the Imam's line, especially in the elections, and advised them not to exclude one another. I met with the Czechoslovak ambassador. He wanted to expand relations and for me to travel there or for their parliament speaker to come to Iran. He had brought several books introducing his country. One of the IRGC security officials came and spoke about the problems of protecting officials, the lack of regulations, the excessive expectations of some people, and the difficulties in protecting Messrs. Montazeri, Meshkini, and Taheri of Isfahan because of interference by those around them. Mr. [Mohsen] Qara'ati and a group of officials from the [Literacy] Movement came and wanted the organization to become a ministry, and spoke about the scope and problems of their work.

At night, we had two meetings at the President's office, the first with Messrs. [Mohsen] Doagoo and [Ali Akbar] Parvaresh, who have serious disagreements; it became clear that they cannot cooperate. It was decided that Mr. [Mohsen] Doagoo would be selected as the executive branch's representative on the IRIB supervisory council. Then there was the meeting of the heads of the branches.
