In the open session, several bills were passed, and I spoke in favor of the bill to waive payment by students expelled from the teacher-training college, and Mr. [Mohammad] Gharazi [Minister of Oil] gave a report on the state of gas and oil; reserves and gas injection and... and Mr. [Mohammad] Kiaoush, representative of Abadan, objected to him. At noon, Dr. [Hassan] Rouhani came and we talked about the army and military industries and... Mr. [Ali] Movahedi-Savoji came, gave a report from the front, and I criticized his remarks in the Friday prayer in Saveh against executive officials. Mr. [Ali] Aghamohammadi, representative of Hamadan, came and gave some advice regarding the replacement of Ayatollah Hossein Nouri [Hamedani] as Friday prayer leader.
In the afternoon, Abu Hisham came from Lebanon and gave a report on the situation there and presented some proposals. A group of heads of trade unions came and spoke about the problems with their work and complained about the trade court and the Ministry of Industries. The IRGC intelligence personnel who work on the small groups came; I spoke to them. The personnel implementing the "Labbaik Ya Khomeini" plan also came, and I spoke to them as well.
At night, we had a meeting with the judicial, security, and executive officials at Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei's office, to determine the policy for the trial and punishment of the Tudeh members. It was decided that the trial would be public, and it was decided to release [Sargoun] Bit-Oshana, the representative of the [Assyrian] Christians in the Majlis, on bail. Late at night, I came home.
