Memoirs of Akbar Hashemi – October 27, 1982

After the prayer, I walked around the courtyard for a while and made up for the backlog in writing my memoirs. I stayed at home until evening. It seemed to me that it had glossed over the betrayals, obstruction, and opportunism of the leftists and communists—especially Heydar Amou Oghli—and had portrayed them as favorably as possible. The religious aspects and the Islamic aims of the movement and Mirza Kuchak Khan were shown less, and Mirza was presented as a simple and idealistic man. I noted down the criticisms. In the afternoon, the children from the parliament had brought us a sheep's liver. Fati, Azam, and Mehdi made dinner from it, and we ate it with the guards.
