Meeting of Syrian Minister of Information Adnan Omran
The meeting of Ahmad Khaleghnejad Tabari and Hamid Rezaei Ghaleh and a report on the plans and programs of the Health Services Insurance Organization

Full text of the diary:
[Mr. Adnan Imran], the Syrian Minister of Information, came. On behalf of [Bashar al-Assad], the president invited him to visit Syria and said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran improved the position of the Islamic world, and that is why it was hated by the arrogance and their puppets, and Syria has always said this in Islamic and Arab forums.
Under the pretext of the presence of Palestinian armed groups in Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon, although it considers the danger to Iraq to be greater and thinks that the United States does not intend to change the Iraqi regime, but rather seeks to weaken Iraq further, because the fall of Saddam may lead to the disintegration of Iraq, and the Kurdish government in the north and the Shiite government in the south, for Turkey and the oil reservoirs of the Persian Gulf from the east of Saudi Arabia to the Iraq is dangerous. He does not consider the Egyptians' harsh and frank stances against Israel serious, but he considers the position of Amir Abdullah [the crown prince of Saudi Arabia] to be genuine.
Dr. [Ahmad] Khaleghnejad [Tabari, the head of the Health Services Insurance Organization] and Dr. [Hamid] Rezaei [Qaleh] came. They brought the plan of full health insurance and said that the elections of May 23, 1997, had isolated many skilled forces and presented a plan for the employment of doctors to work in the villages, and said that the establishment of the post of deputy of employment in the ministry would only provide a post for the 2nd of Khordad people. On the evening of the marriage of Sabiha Mr. [Hossein] Danesh-Rad, one of the bodyguards, I tied the knot.
The United States recently used Blue 82 bombs weighing about seven tons in Afghanistan to weaken the Taliban's defense lines, and it is said that American planes have landed at Bagram Airfield, and the news of the destruction of the villages of Surkh Rood and Karez has had a wide repercussions, and Pakistan has instructed Mr. [Mohammad] Hanif, the Taliban's spokesman in Pakistan, not to advertise the Taliban.

It has gradually become clear that 12 U.S. commandos were killed or wounded in the Kandahar attack, several helicopters have been shot down so far, and one B-52 plane has been shot down. Today, in Qatar, a Qatari soldier attacked the air base where the Americans are stationed, injuring a number of American soldiers. On the eve of the World Trade Conference in Qatar, the issue has become more sensitive.  110 members of the Turkish parliament have protested the deployment of troops to Afghanistan.
