I went to the parliament first. In the public meeting, the bill on the limits of private sector activity was discussed, but it did not progress. It has raw and immature content. We had the election of the members of the [Majlis in] the Broadcasting Supervisory Council, which did not end. The alternate member was elected and the main member went to the next stage.

In the afternoon, I signed the marriage contract of a security guard in my office and listened to the report of Mr. In the evening, Aghazadeh [Oil Minister] came. He gave a report on the oil and gas situation and his plans. Mr. [Hamid] Mirzadeh - who replaced Aghazadeh as the deputy prime minister for executive affairs - came and consulted. A group of Saveh students came. I spoke for them and encouraged them to study and be educated in Islam.

The ambassador of Australia came to Tehran and talked about the development of relations between the two countries and encouraged us to contact more with the members of the UN Security Council. I also talked about the violations of international principles by Iraq and the need for Australia to defend international principles because of the presidency of the Security Council.

I participated in the meeting of the central council of the [Islamic Republic] party. The discussion was about the management of the Islamic Republic newspaper, and the negotiations turned bitter. At night, we discussed with Ayatollah Khamenei about the war and the command of the air force and the issues of the current line dispute. We decided to continue the discussion.
