[Mr. Taki Shi Ohara and Rudolf Weirasmuller], the new ambassadors of Japan and Switzerland came to present credentials; It was a formal meeting and some questions and answers. He talked about the successes of their revolution and their Islamic actions, and about the enmity between America and Egypt, and invoked the problem of oil; I praised and encouraged.

Mr. [Mortaza] Asefi came. He expressed his displeasure about his negligence regarding the German person and justified his actions and spoke of his services. I told the suspicious points of his behavior. He defended some of them and he was not convinced by some of the defenses, but finally I said that I would give up, but it should be a lesson for the future.

[Mr. Abbas Akhundi], Minister of Housing and Urban Development came. Housing programs and important projects, credit needs, housing prices and policies were discussed. He gave an expert report on the amount of the building of Farhangistan, which is the subject of dispute between Mr. Habibi and Mr. Zanjani.

In the evening, the government board had a meeting. We started with the discussion of the second program, which is to deal with the notes, and we negotiated about the exchange rate and the increase in the price of the dollar, and the remedies and solutions for the arrears.

I was the guest of Ayatollah Khamenei last night. We discussed Sudan and Afghanistan and their requested assistance and cooperation with Turkey in the fight against the opponents of the two countries, the issue of investigation and radio and television, and the political activities of clerics and others, and the dream that Ayatollah Khamenei saw, and the interpretation given by Mr. Sediqin, his trusted Isfahani spokesman, and the comments of Mr. [Mohammed Baqer] Zulqadr, [Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff] of the IRGC regarding the dangers and needs that made him angry.
