In the evening, Ahmad Agha came and spoke about the meeting of the members of the Supreme Judicial Council with the Imam and their request for renewed endorsement and to make amends for the Imam's previous remarks that had undermined them. Mr [Abd al-Karim] Mousavi Ardabili has also asked me to intercede with the Imam on this matter.

I stayed at home. I spent most of my time reading. In the morning Mr Sadeq Tabatabai came and reported on the outcome of his efforts to recover the money he had paid for the 48M tanks. He had two people arrested and secured about thirty million dollars. About sixteen million dollars remain to be recovered, which must be taken from them or from Lloyd's of London. He has filed a complaint with a court in Switzerland and said they are doing a good job.

In the evening, Mr Ahmad came and spoke about the meeting of the members of the Supreme Judicial Council with the Imam and their request for reaffirmation and redress for the Imam's past statements which had weakened their position. Mr [Abdolkarim] Moosavi Ardebili has also asked me to intercede with the Imam on this matter.

Mr [Mohammad] Imami Kashani also came and spoke about the actions taken during the سبزوار incident and the arrest of several senior figures from the Pasdaran, the Committee and the entourage of Mr [The preacher] Tabatabai spoke of the decision to take judicial action. We discussed the location of the Administrative Court of Justice and his residence, and it was agreed that he would lead the next Friday prayer, as I am due to go to India. A couple of relatives came over in the evening.

I phoned the front and informed the Karbala headquarters of my son Mohsen's departure. They said that they would launch some raids on the enemy tonight, and that today the enemy had tried to advance, having suffered some casualties.
