In the public meeting [Majlis], the revision of the regulations for obtaining a vote of confidence for the government was discussed. In the afternoon, Mr. [Abdullah] Atayi, the representative of Sanandaj, came to my office and complained about the performance of the officials in Kurdistan province. Several representatives of Kerman province came and complained about the governor of Kerman and asked me not to support [the governor].

In the evening, I participated in the meeting of the central council of the [Islamic Republic] party. The discussion was mostly about the [government] cabinet, and although there were differences in the negotiations, we reached good results. On the first night, a meeting of the Arbitration Council of the [Islamic Republic] party was held, and the vote was given to the authority of Mr. Dr. [Abdullah] Jasbi, who was sued by Mr. [Syed Mohammad Reza] Beheshti. Mr. [Ali Akbar] Natiq Nouri [Minister of the Interior] said that I should have confirmed the Ministry of Interior more about my statements about the Hizbullah anti-hijab demonstration during Friday prayers.

The Prime Minister also doubted the policy of the Ministry of Oil regarding the sale of oil. We decided to investigate. [Oil Ministry officials] are against selling more oil and are not making the necessary efforts.
