I stayed at home and devoted myself more to reading. Last night our forces on Iraqi soil attacked the enemy. This morning I spoke by telephone with Colonel [Ali] Sayyad Shirazi. He was satisfied with the outcome of the operation. Mr Reysheri came and discussed the nature and timing of the trial [Sadiq] Qutbzadeh consulted on whether it should be completely public or controlled. He asked for advice on how to deal with Mr Shari'atmadari and said that he had recently sent some money to Mr [Seyyed Sadiq] Ruhani to distribute among the students.
