We had a public meeting. The International [Islamic] University bill was discussed. In the afternoon, Imam Juma came to Buruj and brought money for the expenses of the fronts. He complained about the lack of clergy in the region. Consulted for the future lawyer of the parliament - instead of the current representative, Mr. Shahab Mahmoudi. Mr. [Mohammed] Abayi [Khorasani] in charge of the [Islamic] propaganda office came from Qom and had lunch with me. He discussed the quality of the office's involvement in the upcoming elections. Due to the fact that he receives help from the government, he should not participate in the elections. He wanted me to communicate more with the students of Qom seminary.

In the evening, I stayed in my office until six o'clock in the afternoon to sign the new decrees of the parliament employees, and I attended the meeting of the central council of the [Islamic Republic] party late. The discussion was about the [Islamic Council] election candidates. The campaign budget was also discussed. It was decided not to spend too much. At night, I came to the parliament for dinner and sleep and to do the remaining work and slept late. Today, in the parliament, I visited the blood collection group [blood transfusion organization], which was taking blood from the representatives for the Front.
