I was in the public session of the parliament until half past ten. Our agenda is over and I ended the meeting. Representatives of Khuzestan are upset about yesterday's bombing of Ahvaz. A group of representatives went to Khuzestan and a group from the Energy Commission went to the Neka power plant.

Mr. [Mohammadreza] Rahimi, the representative of Qorwa, came and told about the plan to deal with the pilots who hijacked our planes. I told the Ministry of Information to cooperate.

Mr. Sediq [Commander of the Air Force] informed by phone that in retaliation for yesterday's evils in Iraq, we have bombed five economic and military centers of that country today and the planes have all returned safely.

Sample farmers came in the evening. I gave a speech for them. A group of Lebanese students and scholars living in Iran came. They told about the political, ideological and economic problems of Lebanon and requested to solve them and suggested the appointment of the Imam's plenipotentiary representative in Lebanon and welfare financial assistance.

At night, Mr. [Ferydoun] Mahdinejad came. He brought photocopies of fake passports of the American delegation [led by] McFarlane - who came as Irishmen - and discussed the future negotiation for the release of the hostages.

At night, the military leaders were the guests of Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei. The oil minister discussed our policy at the upcoming OPEC meeting. We discussed current issues with America and reciprocating. I went home late and took things to go on a trip.
