For security precautions, considering the written threat, I changed some of my plans. I went to the Parliament an hour later. The first part of the session was presided over by Mr. [Mohammad] Yazdi, and after the break, I presided.
A large crowd of [employees] of the Literacy Movement had come in front of the Parliament. I spoke to them. I visited the place in the Parliament designated for the war headquarters.
At noon, Mr. Akhlaqi, representative of Mr. Montazeri at the University of Kerman, came and consulted about the quality of handling provincial conflicts. I said it was best for the parties to remain silent. Mr. [Ali] Fallahian from the Ministry of Intelligence came and consulted about operations and the quality of cooperation with the Revolutionary Guards.
In the afternoon, I attended the Hezbollah Tuesday session of the Parliament and spoke to them for an hour. I advised on the controversial issues, the representatives' criticisms in their speeches, and the lack of discipline in attending sessions. Due to my busy schedule, I did not attend the Cultural Revolution Council meeting; Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei complained by phone. I gave instructions to Colonel Sadegh [Commander of the Air Force] regarding the defense of Khark Island and air attacks.
