I did the work and read the reports until ten o'clock in the morning. In the reports, the occupation of the last heights overlooking Sarajevo and the complete siege of the city by the Serbs attract attention.

Mr. [Ali] Shamkhani, [commander of the navy] came. He expressed his desire to be exempted from military responsibilities and come to the Ministry of Interior. It was decided to follow up more to get the approval of the leadership.

[Mr. Hamidreza Hosseini], our new ambassador in Chile came to consult and say goodbye. He had good explanations about Chile and the situation of human rights and ways to deal with arrogant blackmails by resorting to this tactic.

Mrs. Dr. [Shafiqa] Habibi came. He gave a report on the status of the syringe factory and said that with good order, it produces more than its capacity. He suggested the establishment of blood bag and rare drug manufacturing factories along with syringe manufacturing. He criticized the state of drug management, which I told him to follow up on himself. It was decided that the special inspection office should also follow up.

Mr. [Abul Qasim] Khazali came. He emphasized on the employment of several people. He said he was devoted to three people. The late Beheshti, Ayatollah Khamenei and I always pray.

Mr. [Mohammed Sadiq] Ayatollahi, Iran's representative in the International Atomic Energy Agency, came. He asked us to prevent overlapping duties with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He emphasized on reforming the administrative structure with more reliance on the elevation of the country and wanted to make changes in the Ministry of Oil. Mr. Bushehri came. He criticized the oil minister and proposed Mr. [Hossein] Mahluji for the oil ministry.

In the evening, we arranged negotiations with Dr. Habibi over the phone with the ministers who are supposed to be replaced and the people who are supposed to replace them.

I spoke with Ayatollah Khamenei over the phone about the latest decisions regarding the ministers. We reached a final agreement. In the evening, I signed the maps of the country's decisions. There were more than a hundred signatures. I came home at six o'clock.
