The media consider the statements of the President of Turkmenistan that the Caspian Sea smells of blood, the news of Mr. Khatami's departure from the meeting, as well as the fact that none of the parties has reneged on the previously unannounced demands, as well as Putin's order for military maneuvers in the Caspian Sea on the day after the summit, as a sign of the worsening of the problem

The American helicopter came in front of us and showed itself well and landed at a certain point. Its searchlights, weapons, and many communication cables had caught my attention. I continued on my way, ignoringly. Several American soldiers were chasing us. Someone approached me at a checkpoint. I told an officer from the police station, "Arrest this American soldier who entered Iran without a passport and take him to prison!" The officer approached him and he was now riding a motorcycle, and he held his weapon in front of us. The officer was also armed, and at that moment I woke up and did not sleep again.

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah's visit to the United States is in the headlines. Yesterday, they talked for five hours with [U.S. President] George W. Bush at his personal ranch in Texas. In part of the talks, [First Vice President] Dick Cheney, [Secretary of State] Colin Powell, and [U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations] Condoleezza Rice were also present. For two hours, they walked two by two in the open space of the farm and conversed. At the end of the talks, Amir Abdullah refused to speak to reporters, but his adviser, Adel al-Jubeir, said the emir told Bush that if Arab friendship was important to the United States, he should put more pressure on Sharon to leave the occupied territories and release [Palestinian Authority President Yasser] Arafat, and Bush told reporters that Amir Abdullah had promised not to use oil as a weapon. At the same time, he has told Sharon to return from occupied Palestine as soon as possible and has told the Palestinians to stop the assassinations.

The Israeli delegation is also in the United States and is in talks with [UN Secretary-General] Kofi Annan to change the composition of the fact-finding mission, and so far two American military advisers have been added to the delegation at Israel's request. The second retreat and the pressures continue, even though he has categorically said that the delegation will go to Palestine on Saturday, and today he said that the delegation will start its work by the end of the week.  

In the Arab newspapers, there is a history of Israel's treatment of independent UN officials over the past half century, which has killed some and killed others. In Lebanon, it was also announced that the security forces had arrested a Palestinian officer from Fatah who was responsible for operations against Israel in southern Lebanon. In the past, it has been said that [Syrian President] Bashar al-Assad opposes their prosecution. Today, the Security Council is meeting with the aim of sending peacekeepers to Palestine, which the United States is unlikely to allow to be approved. 

Israel offered [Yasser] Arafat to go to Gaza, and he refused. Earlier, Mr. Farouk Qaddoumi, [PA Foreign Minister] told me this. In a cowardly act, Arafat set up a military court in the same office under siege and sentenced four Palestinians accused of assassinating Israel's tourism minister to one to 18 years in prison. It is clear that the implementation of the order of Israel and the United States for a deal has not been announced. Strangely, Israel was quick to announce that it would hand over the convicts to Israel.

In the region's media, the debate over the failure or success of the Caspian Sea Coast summit continues widely. What is certain is that they were unable to make a decision and could not even sign a joint statement, and the statements of Mr. [Safarmurad] Niyazov, [President of Turkmenistan], who said that the Caspian smells of blood, and the news of Mr. [Seyyed Mohammad] Khatami's departure from the meeting, as well as the fact that none of the parties has reneged on the previously undeclared demands, as well as the order for military maneuvers by [Russian President] Putin in the Caspian Sea on the day after the summit, They consider it a sign of the worsening of the problem, but the leaders of the participants called the summit constructive and useful. The issue has become really ambiguous, especially with the promise of assistance that the United States has given to Azerbaijan against Iran, and with the position taken by Russia, and on the other hand, with the announcement of the positions of the countries in the form of propaganda, which has created expectations among their nations that are difficult to ignore.

Russia is also not in a good situation.  

In Pakistan, 12 people were martyred and 25 injured in a massive explosion at a Shiite shrine in the city of Gujrat in Punjab province, where some 50,000 Shiites were supposedly gathered, and it was also announced that US military groups were actually pursuing those accused of being members of Al-Qaeda in Pakistan, even though political parties and Sunni groups boycotted Musharraf's referendum and its Supreme Court. are against the Constitution, and Musharraf is determined to implement it.

Ms. Sima Samar, Afghanistan's representative to the United Nations, called on the Security Council to increase the number of peacekeepers in Afghanistan in order to cover provinces other than Kabul, warning that otherwise, there is a high possibility of a renewal of the civil war. In Tiflis, [the capital of Georgia], there was a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, but since the epicenter of the earthquake is 6 kilometers from the city, there are few casualties. Yesterday, there was also an earthquake in the villages of Sahneh in Kermanshah.  

In the United States, practical measures against Iran have accelerated.
