Memoirs of Akbar Hashemi – April 11, 1990

I ate suhoor, hoping to be able to fast; I still take medicine to relieve boredom. I reached my office at half past nine in the morning. Mr. [Hamid] Mirzadeh, [Executive Vice President], gave a financial report [of the Civil Engineering Organization] of Kish and the status of Qeshm Island; He has seen Qeshm as prone to important industries.

Mrs. [Marzieh] Dabbagh came. He told about the situation of the women's population and provided financial assistance. I decided to check. Earlier, Imam's daughter had the same request. [Mr. Mohammad Hassan Tolai], the governor of Khuzestan, came. He appealed for reconstruction and Khuzestan issues and complained about the slowness of approval of his demands in the Ministry of Interior.

Mr. Mohammad Hashem came from the three-member board of the dock construction. With the approval of the Revolutionary Council, the remaining facilities of the American companies in charge of the construction of Chabahar port have been given to this board to be used in the construction of the docks. During this time, they have done about four billion jobs.

In the evening, the government board examined the physical balance of construction materials in the program. We want about 6 million tons of metals and about 21 million tons of cement. Iftar, members of parliament, ministers, members of the Guardian Council and deputies and advisers [of the president] were my guests. After breaking the fast, congregational prayer was performed under my leadership. Mr. [Sheikh Hossein] Hashemian, the deputy speaker of the parliament, thanked them and I spoke to them about the hostages, the resolution, Hajj, economic and foreign policy and answered the questions. They had many references. I arrived home at ten o'clock at night.

After eating suhoor and praying, I slept. I dreamed that the rosary string that was in my hand was cut at the point of connection to the sheikh above, and several beads fell off. I woke up; I was thinking about interpretation when I fell asleep again. I dreamed that we passed through a region that looked like a valley with a helicopter. In the lower part, there were green trees and flowers. In the upper part, dry and rocky rocks and mountain roads have connected the garden to the rocks. Cars were also moving to come up, one of the big trucks hit a rock and deviated, and its driver, who was tall, handsome and fit, fell and died.

Unfortunately, I don't remember all the related side issues and scenes; I only remember that after this incident, I was in a mixed state of sadness and a kind of satisfaction in my sleep; May God bring good.
