Full Text of the Daily Entry:

The time was spent resting and reading at home. I cleaned the pool with a vacuum. We did not have any important news. The Friday Prayer leaders are protesting against the disarray in the country. Today, in Palestine, more than 100 people have been injured by Israeli soldiers, and the atmosphere is tense. In Indonesia, [Abdurrahman Wahid], the President, has warned the parliament that if they do not withdraw from the impeachment by next week, he will declare a state of emergency and dissolve the parliament.

It was announced that the leadership has agreed to Mr. [Ahmad] Jannati's proposal, the Secretary of the Guardian Council, to establish a Jurisprudential Advisory Council headed by Mr. [Seyyed Hassan] Taheri Khorram Abadi to assist the [Guardian] Council. The establishment of the advisory council is good, but it does not require the approval of the Supreme Leader, and the Guardian Council could have taken action on its own.
