Today is the presidential election, and Hashemi participated in it, although the writer (or the publisher, as usual) did not specify whom he voted for.

He delivered the Friday prayers at Tehran University.

Full Text of the Daily Notes:

To cast my vote in the presidential election, I went to the Jamaran Hosseiniyeh. Many journalists were gathered there. I briefly answered two or three questions. After that, I went to Tehran University to lead the Friday prayers. I delivered a sermon about sincerity and hypocrisy and addressed the events of the week in the second sermon. The news of the election reflects the significant presence of people participating in the election.

In England, elections were also held yesterday, and there are interpretations regarding the similarities between the two elections, particularly concerning the need for both the Iranian government and the Labour government in England to secure substantial votes.
