Full Text of the Daily Note:

I went to the Al-Zahra (S) Hosseiniyeh No. 2 for the commemoration of the martyrs of the police force in Shemiran. It was reported that the police have around 13,000 martyrs, 21,000 veterans, and 2,600 freed prisoners, while Shemiran has 65 martyrs. I delivered an extensive speech on the importance of security and the role of the police in ensuring it, pointing out global insecurity and how this insecurity is now affecting America, claiming that the U.S. is exacerbating insecurity in the region.

Before noon, Mr. [Seyyed Mahdi] Khamoushi, the new head of the Islamic Propagation Organization, came to consult about the programs and policies for the new term. In the evening, Dr. Farhadi and [Ali Akbar] Hosseini Mehrab, [Deputy for Economic Intelligence and Anti-Corruption] from the Ministry of Intelligence, came to explain the case concerning Mr. [Masih] Mohajeri's brother. They reported that some opportunists are pressuring lawmakers to introduce inappropriate proposals, including the latest proposal to eliminate collateral requirements for bank loans. They provided a recording of the phone conversations of those individuals.

General [Qassem] Soleimani, [Commander of the Quds Force], came. He had just returned from Lebanon and was preparing to go to Afghanistan tomorrow. He said that the U.S. is seeking to establish an independent state for the Palestinians in part of the occupied territories, and [Yasser] Arafat has accepted this. However, jihadist groups have disrupted the declared ceasefire and intend to prevent it. He mentioned that Mr. [Kamal] Kharrazi, [the Minister of Foreign Affairs], canceled a scheduled meeting with Hezbollah at Mr. [Sayed Hassan] Nasrallah’s office during his trip to Lebanon, which upset them, and the meeting instead took place at the Iranian embassy. He stated that objections have been raised to the Americans regarding [Mohammad] Zahir Shah's plan, but they believe he is not suitable for managing Afghanistan and are more focused on the Northern Alliance. He sought military policy advice regarding the Northern Alliance, and I suggested prioritizing the cleansing of the north from the Taliban and connecting the Hazara regions to the north.

That night, I was a guest of the Leader. They mentioned that after the attack began, the Americans sent a message stating they would not violate Iran's borders and requested permission to enter Iran if one of their aircraft was damaged and crashed, so they could rescue their personnel. It was conveyed to them that in such a situation, they should inform us so we can take action ourselves. They expressed dissatisfaction with the establishment of a student parliament, claiming that the Ministry of Education had deceived them and put the system in a difficult position by stating that the members of the Islamic student associations would act on their own, which later turned out to be untrue. They noted that no mention of the parliament was made among them, and they advised against politicizing schools. I replied that this meeting itself is sufficient for them, as it serves as a stamp of legitimacy.

We discussed the objectives and impacts of the American military campaign. We concluded that the U.S. is considering actions beyond just the Taliban and Afghanistan and has made a mistake; it will not succeed in Afghanistan or anywhere else, and there is a possibility that, under the pretext of supporting Hezbollah and the Palestinians, they may impose sanctions or confront Iran, which would be costly for both sides. The case regarding Nasser [Vaez] Tabasi was also discussed. They indicated that previous warnings had been given to Mr. Tabasi, but he had not taken them seriously, and it was noted that Sheikh [Abdullah] Nouri's name has been removed from the list of those eligible for amnesty.

Today, missile and air attacks on Afghanistan intensified, and more widespread and vigorous protests against the U.S. occurred in cities across all continents. It seems that these protests will pressure the U.S., and the Pakistani government is also under serious pressure from the protesting populace, resulting in arrests and house arrests of prominent figures.
