At the 20th Rome Film Festival, the legendary director of Cinema Paradiso, Giuseppe Tornatore, the Lifetime Achievement Award

  At the 20th Rome Film Festival, the legendary director of Cinema Paradiso, Giuseppe Tornatore, presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Jafar Panahi.  In his praise, Tornatore said: "Panahi's films remind us that cinema is, above all, a tool for peace."

Appreciating the influence of Italian neorealism on his works, Panahi presented this award to his wife on her birthday.
