Imagine that you accidentally land on the television remote and then see the host talking about you!

This happened to me today. Mohammad Reza Shahbaz, on the IRIB Channel 2, had used two of my notes as the basis for his satirical program. Satire, what can I say? It resembled more of a lamentation! But the fact that he tried to accompany the lamentation with a smile must have indicated that he found something funny in his own lamenting.

Let this be the nature of such humorous and lamenting reactions to the critical writings of critics! With the experience I have gone through, this itself is truly a sign of progress. Now, the fact that some people attribute this judgment to “cleansing the government” is their own concern.

However, my advice to Mr. Shahbaz is that if he wants to use something as the basis for his humor or lamentation, he should first read it carefully and then reflect it in its true form, and then say whatever his heart desires!

My writing titled “The Murder of Mehrjouyi and the Constant Horror and Dread” has its first part related to the war in the Gaza Strip and the types of reactions to it, and it was not related to the murder of the famous director. The request for the withdrawal of Hamas forces from Gaza is not as simple and trivial as he pretended. In fact, it is the best action that can currently be taken to prevent the escalation of war and bloodshed. Of course, if Mr. Shahbaz is interested in having Hamas forces killed to the last man without entertaining the thought of withdrawing from Gaza, he can insist on his own interest.

He may see the outcome of this war differently from my assessment, but I believe he is mistaken. He and his like-minded individuals unfortunately view the world through the blue-tinted lens of their ideological tendencies and pay little attention to the actual mechanisms of how things work. They believe that paying attention to the actual mechanisms means disbelief in God’s power, as if these mechanisms were created by someone other than God!

Some zealous religious Jews consider themselves the chosen people of God! Unfortunately, this notion is not limited to them. Some followers of all religions also consider themselves the beloved ones of God! This very feeling of being beloved becomes the source of their astonishment, pride, and oppression towards other creatures of God, as well as the denial of their rights and existence. Nothing angers God more than this. So, it lays in wait for them!
