Reuters wrote that Mohammad Abedini, one of the founders of an Iranian company, and Mehdi Sadeghi, an employee of a U.S. semiconductor manufacturing company, have been charged with violating U.S. export laws.
The FBI claims that the advanced navigation equipment used in the drone was of Iranian origin and belonged to Abedini's company.
Abedini is accused of using a front company in Switzerland to procure American technologies, including accelerometers and gyroscopes, from Sadeghi's employer and then sending them to Iran.
