The United States Ministry of Foreign Affairs called Mustafa Tajzadeh's arrest while on leave from prison and his transfer to Evin as an "obvious disregard of the Islamic Republic's principles, human dignity, and justice."

The American Foreign Ministry account in Farsi on the X network, on the evening of Friday, November 16, also wrote that the arrest of the well-known opponent Ali Khamenei "also shows that for the Islamic Republic, suppressing the opposition is a higher priority than dealing with the deeper crises of Iran."

Mr. Tajzadeh, who was released from prison after three years of imprisonment to attend the funeral of his only brother, was arrested three days later, on November 13, at his daughter's house and transferred to Evin prison.

In its Farsi message on the X Network, the US State Department, referring to the security officers' prevention of the presence of this political prisoner at his brother's seventh ceremony, added: "The presence of Tajzadeh and Narges Mohammadi, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, at the ceremony that was held earlier, is a symbol of the resistance and courage of the political opponents of the Islamic Republic."
