Turkey's Grand National Assembly has passed a law to officially add March 21 as "Nowruz" to the country's holiday calendar.

Turkey's Grand National Assembly has passed a law to officially add March 21 as "Nowruz" to the country's holiday calendar.

The decision, proposed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will come into effect in 2026, and Nowruz will be an official holiday across Turkey as a national holiday.
