The Jerusalem Post newspaper reported on the recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

The Jerusalem Post, in a report on the recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, quoted an informed source as saying that Trump stressed that the Islamic Republic should not acquire nuclear weapons, saying, "Military nuclear facilities, no, civilian nuclear program, yes."

Even if the Islamic Republic were forced to completely dismantle its current nuclear program, including centrifuges, it would still be allowed to maintain a civilian nuclear program to generate electricity, such as the Bushehr power plant, according to the report.

Israeli sources told the Jerusalem Post that the chances of the Islamic Republic agreeing to a deal based on the Libyan model are "very low." The sources also added that their perception is that Trump's threats are serious and that if the talks fail, he will likely use military means to counter the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.
