According to the Iranian source, if the United States agrees, indirect talks are likely to take place in Oman within the next two to three weeks.

In her newsletter titled "The Diplomat," Lara Rosen quoted an Iranian source as saying that Iran has agreed to hold initial indirect talks with the United States on the nuclear issue and will pursue direct talks if progress is made on the initial steps to agree on the framework of the negotiations.

According to the Iranian source, if the United States agrees, indirect talks are likely to take place in Oman within the next two to three weeks.

The source, who asked not to be named, added that the talks are likely to take place without media coverage at first.

He also believed that Iran's negotiators would likely be Majid Ravanchi, Iran's deputy foreign minister, and Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's legal deputy.
