ایران این درگیری را به عنوان نبردی برای بقا تلقی می‌کند

For Iranian officials, this conflict means a war for survival, a battle that has been preparing for years.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has opened a new front of the war.  He has stated that the operation would continue "as long as it takes" and explicitly states that its goal is not only to destroy Iran's nuclear capability, but to overthrow the Islamic Republic.

For Iranian officials, this conflict means a war for survival, a battle that has been preparing for years.  Now they will bring all their military power.  Although Iran's attacks have been limited to this moment, Israel's intelligence assessment shows that despite the damage caused to the Iranian arsenal over the past six months during regional clashes, Iran still has about 6,000 ballistic missiles and can produce more.

Iran is now using these missiles to target strategic points near populated areas.  In Tel Aviv, for example, missiles appear to have been marked towards the Ministry of Defense and other military centers, but some have hit residential areas.  Whether intentional or accidental, this situation can lead to widespread casualties in both countries.

At the same time, Iran does not want to bring America directly into the war, because the leader of the Islamic Republic knows that Iran is neither militarily or politically able to win such a war.  However, as the clashes intensified, Iranian military commanders have now threatened to attack US bases in the region.
