In a voice message released on Sunday, September 16, marking the second anniversary of Mahsa Amini's death, Sedigheh Vasmaghi, an Islamic scholar, stated: "Over the past 45 years, women have constantly been wounded, and this wound was reopened with the blood of Mahsa, marking the beginning of a significant movement in Iran centered around women and women's rights."

This critic of the Islamic Republic added that throughout history, women have borne deep scars due to "repression and discrimination." She noted, "For the past 45 years, this wound has been prodded until Mahsa's blood reopened it. Since then, much blood has been shed, and this wound will not heal unless women achieve their rights."
