Sedigheh Vasmaghi, who had previously expressed her opposition to mandatory hijab, shared a post on Instagram stating, "We will solidify women's freedom of dress in honor of the blood of Mahsa and Armita."
In another Instagram post, Ms. Vasmaghi confirmed the assault by authorities and mentioned receiving calls of concern from political prisoners "Mostafa Tajzadeh" and "Saeed Madani" from Evin Prison. She wrote:
"This evening, Mr. Mostafa Tajzadeh and later Dr. Saeed Madani called from Evin Prison and, with kind words, condemned the actions of the authorities."
