ترامپ در تماس تلفنی با نتانیاهو بر سر لبنان خشمگین شد: «تو دیوانه شده‌ای»

According to this report, tensions escalated when Iran threatened to suspend its negotiations with the United States in protest against Israel’s actions in Lebanon.

Axios, citing two U.S. officials and a source familiar with the matter, reported that Donald Trump became extremely angry during a heated phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over Israel’s escalating military operations in Lebanon.**

According to the report, tensions rose when Iran threatened to suspend its negotiations with the United States in protest over Israel’s actions in Lebanon. This became a diplomatic crisis for the Trump administration, which is seeking to reach an agreement with Tehran.

Axios sources say Trump described Netanyahu as “crazy” during the call and accused him of further isolating Israel internationally through his actions. Trump also believed that Israel’s threat to launch a large-scale attack on Beirut could undermine U.S. diplomatic efforts.

According to Axios, the U.S. president effectively pressured Netanyahu to back away from plans to strike Beirut. Following the call, Trump announced on his social media platform that no Israeli forces would be deployed to Beirut and that units already en route had been recalled.

The report also states that Trump communicated indirectly with Hezbollah through intermediaries, exchanging messages aimed at halting mutual attacks between Hezbollah and Israel. Lebanese sources told Axios that Hezbollah had expressed readiness for a full ceasefire if Israel stopped its attacks.

Axios describes the episode as a significant sign of disagreement between Trump and Netanyahu. While Israel seeks to increase military pressure on Hezbollah, Trump is concerned that an expanded conflict in Lebanon could derail sensitive negotiations with Iran.

Axios concludes that, at this stage, Trump is unwilling to allow Israeli actions in Lebanon to jeopardize what he considers his top foreign policy priority: reaching an agreement with Iran—even if that leads to an unusually sharp verbal confrontation with Netanyahu.
