Nima Kashuri, who was a political and media activist and one of the people who was arrested in the mass arrest of Telegram channel managers close to the reformists in late 1995, died in the Caspian Sea on October 10 of this year.

The commemoration ceremony of this media activist, politician, lawyer and former member of the Central Council of the Republican Party was held in the Muslim Ibn Aqeel Mosque of Yousafabad with the presence of a group of political and executive figures.

Mahmoud Alavi, the former Minister of Information, was the speaker of this event.  He said:

When Telegram appeared, a group of young people with faith, when they saw the oppression of this government, started channels on Telegram and published reports and news about the achievements and performances of the government of Tadbir and Omid.

With the idea that we are giving money and information to these Telegram channel administrator friends, in one morning, they arrested about 8 of them and sent them to prison, then they realized that there was no money, no information, and no mistake.

They had announced that they had captured a network and were stuck to free them;  Therefore, they were pressured to admit that they took money from Alavi.  Some of these young people had said things to be released sooner.

Nima Kashiri and another of her friends resisted and said, why should we confess lies against Mr. Alavi when we have not received money?  Nima Kashiri firmly said that I am innocent and should be released and you have no right to postpone my release to confess under pressure.  Happy soul, Nima Kishori./Arman Melli
